What are Kit & Kin nappies made from?

Modified on Thu, 3 Jul at 9:40 AM

We make our nappies using sustainable, plant-based materials that are gentler on your baby’s skin, and more conscious of our planet. They’re free from chlorine, parabens, perfumes and latex.

The outer and inner layers (the parts that touch your baby’s skin) are made from sugar cane, making them soft, breathable and super-gentle - as well as making sure there’s no plastic on your baby’s skin.

The absorbent core is made with natural, FSC®-certified wood pulp, and we use oxygen rather than toxic chlorine to bleach the fluff.

Our cute animal prints are made with water-based inks, our paper packaging is 100% recyclable, and every nappy is made in a carbon-neutral factory in the EU.

Traditional non-eco nappies are mostly made from plastic, a non-renewable material made from oil. These can take up to 500 years to break down in landfill. That’s why we choose renewable, plant-based alternatives that are more mindful of our planet, and help to protect our future.
