What is a Kit & Kin friend referral programme?

The Kit & Kin Refer a Friend programme is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. It is designed to allow existing Kit & Kin customers to recommend Kit & Kin to genuine friends, family members, and personal contacts.

1. Eligibility

To participate as a referrer, you must:

• be an existing Kit & Kin customer

• have a valid Kit & Kin account

• comply with these Terms & Conditions and any other applicable Kit & Kin account or loyalty programme terms

To qualify as a referred customer, the referee must:

• be a first-time Kit & Kin customer

• place a qualifying order of more than £40 excluding shipping

• complete that order in full

Referral rewards will only be issued once the qualifying order has been fulfilled and validated by Kit & Kin.

2. Valid referrals

A referral will only be considered valid where:

• the referral is made in accordance with these terms

• the referred customer is genuinely new to Kit & Kin

• the referred customer has not previously placed an order, held an account, or otherwise been identified as an existing customer by Kit & Kin

• the qualifying order is not cancelled, refunded, returned, charged back, or found to be fraudulent

Kit & Kin reserves the right to determine, acting reasonably, whether a referral is valid.

3. Prohibited activity

The Refer a Friend programme must not be used in any way that is misleading, abusive, unfair, or inconsistent with its intended purpose.

The following are not permitted:

• self-referrals

• creating multiple accounts, fake identities, or duplicate customer profiles

• referring members of the same household in order to circumvent the rules of the programme

• use of the same or linked shipping address, billing address, payment details, device, IP address, or other identifiers in a way that suggests misuse

• placing orders solely to generate referral rewards

• cancelled, refunded, returned, or charged back orders being used to qualify for rewards

• bulk referral activity or referral behaviour inconsistent with normal personal sharing

• any activity that Kit & Kin reasonably believes is fraudulent, abusive, manipulative, or intended to exploit the programme
  
  

4. Public sharing restrictions

Referral links, codes, and invites must not be published, promoted, or distributed in public or commercial spaces.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Reddit

• public Facebook groups

• online forums

• voucher code websites

• deal-sharing websites

• cashback communities

• paid advertisements

• mass email distributions

• affiliate networks

• any other public platform or channel designed to reach people who are not genuine personal contacts of the referrer

Referral links may only be shared directly with genuine friends, family members, or personal contacts for personal, non-commercial purposes.

5. Commercial use restrictions

The programme may not be used for:

• affiliate-style promotion

• paid media or paid traffic

• commercial lead generation

• search engine marketing

• spam

• incentivised traffic

• any business or commercial activity
  
  

6. Referral rewards

Referral rewards are conditional and subject to review and validation by Kit & Kin. Rewards are not earned until all programme conditions have been met.

Where a referral is found to be invalid or to breach these terms, Kit & Kin may:

• refuse to issue referral rewards

• withhold pending rewards

• cancel or reverse previously issued points or rewards

• remove access to the referral programme

• suspend or close the relevant customer account from participation in the programme
  
  

7. Limits

Kit & Kin reserves the right to apply limits to the referral programme, including limits on:

• the number of successful referrals per customer

• the number of rewards or points earned

• the period in which referral rewards may be earned

• the value of rewards available through the programme

Any such limits may be introduced or amended by Kit & Kin at any time.

8. Monitoring and review

Kit & Kin may monitor referral activity for fraud prevention, misuse detection, and compliance with these terms.

By participating in the programme, you acknowledge that Kit & Kin may review referral activity and related account information for the purpose of validating referrals and protecting the integrity of the programme.

9. Right to amend, suspend, or withdraw

Kit & Kin reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Refer a Friend programme, or these Terms & Conditions, at any time where reasonably necessary for legal, operational, technical, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Any updated terms will apply from the date they are published on the Kit & Kin website unless otherwise stated.

10. Final decision

In the event of any dispute regarding the programme, eligibility, or referral rewards, Kit & Kin’s decision shall be final, provided that it acts reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.
