White residue is usually caused by either limescale or salt imbalance in your dishwasher, especially in hard water areas.
Here are a couple of things to check if you’re getting a residue on your dishes:
- If the residue wipes off easily, it’s likely a salt issue. Double-check that your salt level isn’t too high, and that your salt compartment cap is fitted properly.
- If it’s more stubborn to clean off, it could be a limescale build-up in the machine. Try running a hot empty wash to clean it through.
Our dishwasher tablets and rinse aid are designed to perform well in both hard and soft water, but with so many different machines and water types out there, you might need to do a little to find the right balance for your setup.
